DMCNY Site Features

DMCNY has revamped our Web site. In addition to a new look and feel, we have new features and functionality that we hope will provide our members with more service and new ways to communicate with us. We invite you to explore the site and we'd like to hear your reactions.
Here's a summary of some of the newest features and how to use them.
Member Log In
To get the most out of our website, members should log in. Here are some of the benefits:
- If you register for an event most of the registration form will be pre-filled in for you.
- You can view and update your membership record in the online Membership Directory
- You will have access to the entire online Membership Directory. Non-members will have only limited access.
- You'll have access to Member's Only content
Members should watch for an email coming soon that will include your Username and Password. Note: you can change your Username and Password once you log in. And, they are not case sensitive.
The Calendar can be accessed from the red navigation bar. Here's what you can do.

- View events by month in a typical calendar layout. If you see an event you're interested in, click on the description and you'll be brought to information about the event.
- Add an event to your Outlook calendar. At the bottom of the Event page you'll see a link "Add to my Outlook calendar." After clicking on the link select "Open" and you'll see the event opened in a typical Outlook calendar window. You can then select "Save and Close" in the upper left-hand corner. It's that simple!
- Browse Current & Upcoming Events. This presents a capsule summary of all upcoming events. Click on an event and you'll be brought to a summary. From here, you can also add events to your Outlook calendar.

Online Membership Directory

Site visitors can search the Online Membership Directory for basic contact information on members. Visitors have access to limited information about members and member companies.
Membership has its privileges. Members who log in can view and update their own profile - include your company's URL, enter a short description about your company or even post a photo.
DMCNY members can log in and access additional contact information on other members. Search by either individual name or company.

Polls
We want to hear what you think. From time to time, we will have short polls on the site to ask your opinion on various topics. Sometimes we will make the poll results available to all to view, although some polls will be accessible only to members who log in.

Want to find something fast on the DMCNY site? Just go to the Search capability in the red navigation bar which is powered by Google. Enter a name, a company or a topic and you'll be served up the search results. Use this to find articles, photos, presentations or any instance of your search term that appears on the site.

Bulletin Boards
We hope to make this site into an active community for information sharing. Check out our Bulletin Board area. Non-members will only see a limited selection; and members who log into the site will have more varied opportunities. In the bulletin board you can post a question, make a comment, upload an article you've written or a report from your company. We encourage you to get active and involved.
Coming soon! DMCNY is looking for members who are passionate about a particular topic. We'll invite you to manage an online bulletin board about your favorite direct marketing interest. We will soon announce a Creative Bulletin Board for members particularly interested in all aspects of copy and design.
