Director of Sales & Business Development

The Director of Sales & Business Development will be a key contributor to Alliant’s continued growth. This high-visibility position requires the successful candidate to initiate and develop strategic relationships with both traditional and online marketing organizations — helping them optimize marketing channels through scoring services and licensed data. You will guide new clients through the Alliant sales pipeline, partner with our Account Management and Analytics Teams, and structure and close long term revenue-generating deals. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales & Business Development.

Principle Responsibilities
· Identify prospects in key vertical markets and develop appropriate forecasts
· Execute new account contacts and development activities
· Partner with internal sales support and analytics resources as needed to close business
· Use SalesForce.com on a daily basis to record sales activity and revenue opportunities
· Maintain a sales pipeline worth 150% of budgeted revenue targets
· Work with the marketing team to develop prospecting campaigns and promotions to generate new business

Key Skills and Background
· Demonstrated mastery of, and passion for, the art of selling data-driven marketing solutions
· Five or more years of experience with a proven track record in closing deals and exceeding quota
· Outstanding writing and presentation skills
· Experience and relevant contacts within digital marketing and/or financial services organizations a plus
· Working knowledge of direct marketing analytics
· Bachelor’s degree or better required
· Must be flexible, team-oriented and committed to having a good time while doing a great job

Sales and Account Management Team Assistant

Alliant is looking for an individual to assist its Sales and Account Management Teams in our Northern Westchester office. This exciting new position supports three critical areas of Alliant’s growing direct and interactive marketing services business: Account Management, Sales and Client Services. This is a tremendous entry level opportunity that offers a chance for growth in any of these areas over time.

Functions and Responsibilities
· Support Sales and Account Management teams serving a roster of major marketers in publishing, merchandise, financial services and online lead generation
· Generate weekly and monthly sales reports utilizing Salesforce.com, update quarterly competitive analyses and revenue projections
· Manage client email campaigns including Insertion Orders, coordination of creative and file receipt/delivery with deployment providers
· Prepare materials for new business presentations, account reviews and industry events
· Assist sales team as needed in the development of sales leads and client case study information
· Coordinate set-up and monitoring of new business contracts
· Assist Client Services Manager in producing job status and tracking reports
· Maintain daily scoring reports for Alliant real time and batch order scoring efforts
· Coordinate and manage internal invoicing information to Accounts Receivable

We are looking for candidates with
· Results oriented self-starter with extreme attention to detail
· Educational or work experience in direct marketing practices; understanding of list segmentation and/or regression modeling a plus
· Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Excel pivot tables and charting tools a plus
· Must be a professional, energetic team player with excellent communication and people skills
· BA degree required, local candidates preferred

SAS Marketing Database Programmer

(Part-time 20 hrs/week)

Really Good Stuff, Inc. is looking for a SAS Marketing Database Programmer to support our Marketing Analysis staff in our Monroe, CT office. This position will be responsible for timely and accurate execution of Catalog mailing selections and other analyses from the SAS marketing database. The ideal candidate will have experience with direct marketing, data processing, quality control and SAS programming. Catalog experience a plus. Additionally, candidates should be familiar with large-scale databases, PC software, and database manipulation.

Principle Responsibilities
· Selects and produces mailing lists based on supply criteria, adhering to all deadlines.
· Supplies data list, catalog, and product customer performance to marketing and other departments as needed for analysis.
· Processes and generates ad hoc reporting requests for marketing analysis.
· Works closely with senior marketing database programmer to ensure the uploading of data from external sources and verification of counts.

Key Skills and Background
· 3-5 years of Base SAS and SAS Macro Programming
· Extensive experience with data analysis and data processing
· Strong quantitative skills and extensive attention to detail
· High energy level; flexible, adaptive, inquisitive and keen understanding of technology
· Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Certification a plus
· Direct Marketing experience a strong plus
